Private or group Reformer Pilates: which should you choose?
Choose a private session if you want to focus on your questions and a personal learning goal. Choose a group class if you prefer following a sequence with others and booking a time in the schedule. At Corpoz, group classes last 50 minutes and welcome a maximum of ten participants. A private session is not medical treatment and does not guarantee faster progress.
What changes in practice?
| Your question | Group class | Private session |
|---|---|---|
| How does the session work? | The teacher guides a sequence for the group | The format allows a discussion more focused on your request |
| How do I choose a time? | From the group class schedule | According to availability and the private offer's booking arrangements |
| How do I compare the budget? | Check passes and subscriptions | Check the price of the private format offered |
| What should I prepare? | Choose a level, language and time | Explain your experience, goal and availability |
Check the price, duration and booking options for a private session in the dedicated booking area. This comparison does not assume that a particular teacher or time is always available.
Getting to know the machine
A group class can be a suitable introduction when the session welcomes beginners and you feel comfortable asking for explanations within the group's pace. Mindful Flow and Deep Control are two formats to consider.
A private session may be useful if your main goal is understanding the settings, practising an instruction several times or asking questions without following a group's progression. You can still start in a group: private tuition is not a compulsory first step.
Working on a specific learning goal
Rather than asking for “a more effective class”, describe an observable goal: understanding the carriage's return, learning to use the straps or revisiting a transition. This makes it easier to discuss the session with the teacher.
You could also consider individual guidance followed by group classes when that format suits you. This is an option to discuss, not a package that everyone needs.
Preparing a private-session request
Explain your starting point
Say whether you are new to the Reformer, whether you have taken classes before and what you would like to understand better. Share only restrictions relevant to the session.
Describe your practical needs
Your preferred language, availability and format help the team look for a suitable option. Confirm the arrangements before paying.
Check the conditions
Read the duration, price, location and cancellation conditions shown for the offer you select. Do not assume that group-pass rules also apply to private sessions.
What if you want to practise with other people?
If you are planning a celebration, an outing with friends or a team event, start with private events or the corporate offering. Group requests involve different arrangements from an individual booking and need a suitable quote.
